The first Aquanaut reference 5065 was launched in 1997 and discontinued from production in 2006. As a variant of the famous Nautilus designed by Gerald Genta in 1976, it is now a big market share in the family of sports watches at Patek Philippe, it was thaw the first model to bear a strap made of high-tech composite.
